Saw this article in this week’s Engineering News Record. Construction related unemployment rose to almost 21% in the United States in December. Anyone who is in a construction related field has known it’s bad for months.. but 20% even with all the stimulus money that has been flying around is pretty alarming. That the statistic cannot be attributed to the industry’s usual fall and winter slowdown is even more disturbing.
With the stimulus dollars drying up soon it will only get worse, and I don’t see any kind of plan to get these people working again. This nation can only print so much money…
