On Monday my Kindle 3 finally made it here. After a few minutes I had it up and synched with my Amazon account, put all my purchased books on it and sat down and played with it.
The screen is amazing, it looks and read as close to actual paper as I could hope for. It is so light you can easily hold it in one hand with no issues at all. After a few minutes of reading you don’t notice it all, unlike the iPad which usually requires a pillow, or certain kind of chair to support it while you hold it for long periods.
I loaded a couple pdfs onto it, played with the browser, connected it to my home wifi and my verizon mifi with no issues at all.
I’ll be using it for the next few days and look forward to reporting how it works out. So far it is everything I hoped it would be.
