cleaned the garage, unearthed old software

Recently cleaned up the garage, going through old boxes of stuff deciding what to toss out. Found an old box with a bunch of old software in it. A real walk down memory lane.

My old MS DOS 5 upgrade. Great update, had a good full screen editor, and the familiar command line.

Microsoft windows 3. Cutting edge graphical interface. I remember people lining up at Egghead Software in Lynnwood, waiting until midnight to get the new versions. Microsoft does not seem to have that excitement about new operating systems anymore.

A few of my old games. I loved flight simulators. First played them on a Mac, while working at an Insty-Prints shop back in the late 1980s. Chuck Yeager’s flight trainer got me started. Falcon 1, 2, 3. A-10 Tank killer, Hornet, Flight Simulator ATP, X Plane. Hours and hours of combat, missed approaches, ILS landings. Ahh the good old days.

I dumped all this crap in the garbage after taking these pics.
