iPad + direct sunlight = unit shutdown

It was in the lower 60′s here in the Puget Sound area today, brought the iPad outside to do a little direct sunlight test after hearing about units shutting down in bright, warm conditions. My iPhone used to shutdown if the weather was hotter than 95 or so.

I set up the FLIR Camera and set the iPad out in the sun. In just 12 minutes it shut down due to the heat. The average temp of the unit was about 96 Degrees. Not exactly a practical outdoor machine if it only takes 12 minutes of direct sunlight to kill it!
