One reason why burberry is overpriced

I went out last night with the wife to the Marysville outlet mall to do some shopping. I wanted to grab a couple pair of shoes from the Clarks store there. Somehow we ended up in the Burberry store, one thing led to another and before I knew it I was buying my wife a new scarf and hat. While paying for it the door alarm sounded as a couple walked in, and a man in a leather coat briskly walked out. One of the employees looked over to another one and asked “did it go off when he walked in?” the other employee did not really respond. After a minute or so one of the employees comes up to the check stand shaking his head, “yeah, he got off with a $1,500 coat”.

At that point I’m like- “dude, you want me to run out and see if I can find him?” his response was, “no, I saw him get into a car”. I asked what kind of car- “Black Nissan 200SX”. Me: “You going to call the cops?” Employee: “It happens all the time, there’s 300 of those cars running around right now”.

I heard someone mention something about getting the security video.. but based on the reaction I witnessed, I doubt they will do much with it.

So now I better understand why this scarf and hat cost me $332.12.
