Review of the OWLE Bubo video rig for the iPhone 3G 3GS

I tend to shoot a lot of video, either with my Flip Mino HD, my Canon HF100, my TX1.. and my EOS 7D. The iPhone 3GS’s built in video camera is actually a good little unit for shooting standard definition footage, but the audio quality is not great, and frankly holding it and shooting steady can be an issue. I recently picked up an OWLE Bubo case/video rig for the iphone- this really changes the quality of both photos and video you shoot with your iphone. Take a look at my review of the unit to get an idea of how it works:

It will not replace one of my HD cameras, however it will be awesome for covering live events where I want to upload things right to youtube in the field. Hopefully the iphone 4G will have an HD Camera.. until then this is the only way to obtain high quality video from your iphone that I know of.
