Seasons changing in the cascades.

Took a drive up the mountain loop highway saturday to get some pictures of all the autumn colors. It was a great day for a drive, the weather was partly cloudy so the light was constantly changing, made for some interesting photos.

Back in July I took this shot off Forest Service road 4065, it has a pretty sweet scenic lookout:

I stopped at roughly the same spot and snapped a similar shot. Some light snow has started to dust the mountains. And it was quite cool. In a few weeks this spot should have a significant amount of snow on it. This road can have several feet of snow on it by the end of winter.

It’s awesome to have scenery like right down the road.

Beautiful scenery-you should come to Colorado

  2. I’d love to sometime, my time in Colorado has been limited to the Denver airport waiting for a connecting flight. :)
